Design Discourse Notes on Polygon Modelling


When polygon modelling

-avoid triangles and polygons with more than 4 sides
view>image plane>import image (jpeg will do)
So add images in each plane e.g. the image from above in top plane
Right click
Object mode – default
Edge mode – lets you distort the edges
Vertex mode – lets you distort the corners
Look up 3d modelling and topology
Extrude – extends
Bevel – used on edges near the end
Multicut tool – can add edges
Assignment : sketch object in your house/ room
-profiles of objects and then create a room with objects from your group
